The Homology of the Hilbert Scheme of Points

We compute the integral homology (and motive, in the sense of Vovoedsky’s derived category of motives) of the (punctual) Hilbert scheme of 5 points in affine space. Our methods are likely to lead to further results for higher degree Hilbert schemes.
